Cancellation & Refund Policy
Information about cancellations, withdrawal rights and refunds for our training services.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Cancellation and refund arrangements
Please read this policy to understand how cancellations, withdrawal requests and refunds are handled for our training services and online courses.
1. Purpose and Scope
This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains the arrangements for statutory withdrawal, cancellation and refunds relating to Self-Paced Online Training courses offered through calibration.training.
The training courses are provided by e-Consilio B.V., operating under the name Calibration Training.
This Policy applies to individual consumers and business purchasers, subject to the different contractual and statutory rights applicable to each category of purchaser.
This Policy should be read together with the Calibration Training Terms & Conditions and, where a purchase is completed through Paddle, the applicable Paddle Buyer Terms and Refund Policy.
Instructor-led training, including Live Online Training, On-Site Training and Classroom Training, as well as Consulting & Implementation services, may be governed by separate quotations, agreements and cancellation arrangements.
Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits mandatory statutory rights or remedies available under applicable law.
2. One-Off Course Purchases
Self-Paced Online Training courses offered through calibration.training are purchased individually for a one-off price.
Each purchased course provides one designated learner with a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable Course Licence for twenty-four (24) months, commencing when the course is first made available to that learner through the Calibration Training learning platform.
The applicable course price, relevant taxes and purchase details will be presented to the purchaser before the transaction is completed.
A course purchase does not create a recurring subscription, automatic renewal or ongoing payment obligation.
At the end of the twenty-four (24) month Course Access Period, access to the relevant course and its associated Learning Materials expires unless an extension or new entitlement has been expressly agreed.
Any certificates issued for the course remain available for viewing or downloading through the learning platform only during the remaining Course Access Period, in accordance with the Calibration Training Terms & Conditions.
Nothing in this section limits any mandatory statutory rights or remedies available under applicable law.
3. Seller and Payment Processing
Purchases of Self-Paced Online Training courses completed through calibration.training are processed by Paddle, acting as the authorised reseller and Merchant of Record for the relevant transaction.
Paddle is responsible for processing payments and handling applicable transaction-related matters, including billing, taxation, statutory withdrawal requests and refunds, in accordance with its applicable Buyer Terms, Refund Policy and legal obligations.
Calibration Training, operated by e-Consilio B.V., is responsible for providing access to the purchased courses and delivering the associated training services in accordance with the applicable agreement and mandatory legal requirements.
For questions concerning payment transactions, billing, withdrawal or refunds, purchasers may contact Paddle through its applicable customer support and refund channels.
For questions concerning course access, learning activities, technical functionality or delivery of the training services, purchasers and learners may contact Calibration Training through:
Support: https://calibration.training/support/
Email: support@calibration.training
The respective responsibilities of Paddle and e-Consilio B.V. are determined by the applicable contractual arrangements and mandatory law.
Nothing in this Policy limits or excludes statutory rights or remedies available to purchasers under applicable law.
4. Statutory Right of Withdrawal for Consumers
Where applicable, consumers who purchase Self-Paced Online Training courses through calibration.training have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within fourteen (14) calendar days from the conclusion of the relevant contract, without giving a reason.
The availability and exercise of this right are subject to applicable consumer protection law, including any valid statutory exceptions relating to the supply of digital content or digital services.
Consumers will be provided with the legally required information about their withdrawal rights, any applicable exceptions and the procedure for exercising those rights before completing a purchase.
Where a consumer requests access to a course before the end of the statutory withdrawal period, the consequences for the right of withdrawal depend on the nature of the digital content or service supplied and the applicable legal requirements.
Accessing a course or commencing learning activities does not, by itself, establish that the consumer has validly waived or lost a statutory right of withdrawal.
Where mandatory law grants consumers different or additional protections, those protections remain applicable.
Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts or overrides mandatory statutory withdrawal rights or remedies.
5. Starting a Course During the Withdrawal Period
Self-Paced Online Training courses may become available to the designated learner before the end of the statutory fourteen (14) day withdrawal period.
The legal consequences of accessing or starting a course during this period depend on the nature of the digital content or digital service supplied and the applicable consumer protection rules.
Where applicable law permits the loss of the statutory right of withdrawal following the commencement of digital content delivery, this exception applies only where all relevant legal requirements have been satisfied, including any required prior express consent, acknowledgement of the loss of the withdrawal right and contractual confirmation.
Simply accessing a course, watching a training video, completing a lesson or participating in an assessment does not, by itself, establish that the consumer has validly lost their statutory right of withdrawal.
Where a course is legally classified as a digital service rather than digital content, different statutory rules may apply, including rules concerning the commencement and performance of services during the withdrawal period.
Calibration Training and, where applicable, Paddle will provide the information and obtain any declarations required under the applicable contractual arrangements and law before relying on a statutory exception.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits mandatory statutory withdrawal rights or remedies available to consumers.
6. How to Exercise a Withdrawal Right
Consumers who are entitled to exercise a statutory right of withdrawal may do so by notifying the relevant contracting party of their decision to withdraw from the purchase within the applicable withdrawal period.
For purchases completed through Paddle, consumers may use the withdrawal and refund channels made available under Paddle's applicable Buyer Terms and Refund Policy.
Where available for the relevant transaction, consumers may submit a withdrawal request through Paddle's Customer Portal:
Consumers may also exercise their statutory withdrawal rights by making any other clear statement of their decision to withdraw, using a method permitted by applicable law.
A consumer is not required to provide a reason for exercising a statutory right of withdrawal.
Where applicable law requires a model withdrawal form to be provided, that form will be made available. Use of the model form is not mandatory.
A valid statutory withdrawal must not be made conditional upon using a particular online portal, completing a specific form or providing a reason.
Consumers who require assistance with identifying the appropriate withdrawal procedure may contact Calibration Training through:
Contact: https://calibration.training/contact/
Email: contact@calibration.training
Nothing in this section restricts mandatory statutory withdrawal rights or the legally permitted methods of exercising those rights.
7. Refund Requests
Refund requests relating to Self-Paced Online Training courses purchased through Paddle should be submitted through the refund and customer support channels made available by Paddle under its applicable Buyer Terms and Refund Policy.
Paddle, acting as Merchant of Record, handles and processes eligible refunds in accordance with the applicable contractual arrangements and statutory requirements.
Calibration Training does not offer an additional voluntary money-back guarantee for Self-Paced Online Training courses beyond the rights and entitlements provided under the applicable contractual arrangements and law.
This does not restrict any statutory right of withdrawal, remedy for non-delivery or lack of conformity, or any other mandatory refund or reimbursement right available to the purchaser.
Nothing in this Policy prevents Paddle from granting a discretionary refund in accordance with its applicable terms and procedures.
Where a refund request concerns an alleged problem with course access, functionality or delivery, Calibration Training may investigate the circumstances and provide relevant assistance in accordance with its obligations.
Purchasers who require assistance with a refund-related course issue may contact:
Support: https://calibration.training/support/
Email: support@calibration.training
Nothing in this section excludes or limits mandatory statutory rights or remedies available under applicable law.
8. Withdrawal and Course Access
Where a purchase of a Self-Paced Online Training course is validly withdrawn from, cancelled or refunded, the corresponding Course Licence and access to that course may be terminated in accordance with the applicable agreement and law.
Following confirmation that the relevant course entitlement has ended, Calibration Training may disable access to the affected course and its associated Learning Materials.
Where a learner holds valid entitlements to other courses purchased separately, the withdrawal, cancellation or refund of one course does not automatically affect access to those other courses.
Termination of access to an individual course does not automatically require the deletion or closure of the learner's account.
Where a withdrawal, cancellation or refund request is still pending, any restriction of course access must be justified under the applicable agreement and law and must take account of the purchaser's statutory rights.
Any action affecting course access will be based on the confirmed status of the relevant transaction and the learner's applicable course entitlement.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits mandatory statutory withdrawal rights, refund entitlements or other legal remedies available to purchasers.
9. Certificate Issuance During the First Fourteen Days
Learners who successfully complete a Self-Paced Online Training course may become eligible for a certificate of completion, where the purchased course includes certification.
A certificate will not be issued, made available for viewing or released for download until at least fourteen (14) calendar days have elapsed from the date of the relevant purchase transaction.
Where a valid withdrawal request, pending refund or unresolved cancellation affects the relevant course entitlement, certificate issuance may be withheld until the matter has been resolved.
Once the applicable course completion requirements have been satisfied, the fourteen (14) day period has elapsed and no relevant unresolved withdrawal, refund or cancellation prevents issuance, the certificate may be made available through the Calibration Training learning platform.
Issued certificates remain available for viewing or downloading through the learning platform only during the remaining twenty-four (24) month Course Access Period.
After expiry of that Access Period, the certificate will no longer be available for viewing or downloading through calibration.training.
A certificate legitimately issued and downloaded before expiry of the Access Period does not become invalid merely because platform access has ended.
These arrangements do not limit statutory withdrawal rights, refund entitlements or other mandatory consumer rights and remedies.
10. Non-Delivery, Defective Courses and Statutory Remedies
Purchasers and learners may have statutory rights and remedies where purchased Self-Paced Online Training courses are not supplied, cannot be accessed as agreed or do not meet applicable legal requirements concerning the conformity of digital content or digital services.
Such rights and remedies may apply independently of the ordinary fourteen (14) day statutory withdrawal period.
Where a course is not accessible or does not function as agreed, purchasers and learners should contact Calibration Training so that the issue can be investigated and, where appropriate, resolved.
Support: https://calibration.training/support/
Email: support@calibration.training
Calibration Training will take reasonable steps to investigate reported problems and fulfil its obligations concerning the delivery and conformity of the purchased training services.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, statutory remedies may include bringing the digital content or service into conformity, a proportionate price reduction, termination of the relevant contract or reimbursement.
Where the purchase was completed through Paddle, purchasers may also contact Paddle regarding the transaction and any applicable refund or reimbursement.
The respective responsibilities of Paddle and e-Consilio B.V. are determined by the applicable contractual arrangements and mandatory law.
Nothing in this Policy excludes or restricts mandatory rights or remedies concerning non-delivery, lack of conformity, defective digital content or digital services.
11. Business Purchases
Purchasers acting in a business or professional capacity do not automatically benefit from statutory withdrawal rights reserved for consumers.
Purchases of Self-Paced Online Training courses completed through Paddle are subject to the applicable Paddle Buyer Terms and Refund Policy, including any provisions concerning business transactions, cancellation and refunds.
Where a business purchaser and Calibration Training have expressly agreed separate purchasing, cancellation or refund arrangements, those arrangements apply to the extent permitted by law and subject to the applicable contractual relationship with Paddle.
Purchasing a course for an employee or another designated learner does not authorise account sharing or the transfer of an individual Course Licence to multiple participants.
Each designated learner must have an appropriate individual Course Licence, in accordance with the Calibration Training Terms & Conditions.
Where an organisation purchases courses for several learners, any group purchasing or enrolment arrangements must be agreed separately.
Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits mandatory statutory rights, remedies or contractual entitlements applicable to business purchasers.
12. Account Misuse and Contractual Termination
Unauthorised sharing of learner accounts, Course Licences or access credentials, and other serious misuse of the Calibration Training learning platform, are governed by the account security and misuse provisions of the Calibration Training Terms & Conditions.
Where Calibration Training has reasonable grounds to suspect serious misuse, it may investigate the circumstances and take proportionate measures to protect the learning platform, its users and the associated Learning Materials.
Such measures may include temporarily restricting access where reasonably necessary, subject to the applicable agreement and law.
Where serious misuse is substantiated, Calibration Training may suspend or terminate the affected Course Licence and course access in accordance with the Terms & Conditions and applicable law.
A lawful termination resulting from serious, substantiated misuse does not automatically entitle the purchaser or learner to an additional discretionary or goodwill refund.
Any statutory withdrawal rights, contractual refund entitlements, rights relating to non-delivery or lack of conformity, and other mandatory legal remedies remain unaffected.
Where the relevant purchase was processed through Paddle, any transaction-related refund or payment dispute will be handled in accordance with the applicable Paddle Buyer Terms, Refund Policy and legal requirements.
Nothing in this Policy permits arbitrary termination of course access or the exclusion of rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
13. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Payment disputes and chargebacks relating to Self-Paced Online Training courses purchased through Paddle are handled in accordance with Paddle's applicable procedures, contractual arrangements and payment-provider rules.
Where a purchaser disputes a payment through their bank, card issuer or other payment provider, Paddle may investigate and manage the dispute in its capacity as Merchant of Record.
Calibration Training may provide relevant transaction, enrolment, course-access or learning activity information where reasonably necessary to assist with the investigation, subject to applicable data protection requirements.
Where a payment dispute affects the validity or status of the relevant course entitlement, access to the affected course may be temporarily restricted where permitted by the applicable agreement and law.
Any restriction must be reasonable, proportionate and based on the circumstances of the particular dispute.
The initiation of a chargeback or payment dispute does not, by itself, establish that the purchaser or learner has engaged in fraud, misconduct or a breach of these Terms.
Where a dispute is resolved and the relevant course entitlement remains valid, any temporary access restriction will be reviewed and lifted as appropriate.
Nothing in this Policy restricts a purchaser's lawful right to dispute a payment or excludes mandatory statutory rights or remedies.
14. Complaints and Assistance
For questions or complaints concerning course access, learning activities, technical functionality, course delivery or certificate availability, purchasers and learners may contact Calibration Training through:
Support: https://calibration.training/support/
Email: support@calibration.training
For payment-related questions, statutory withdrawal requests or refunds relating to purchases completed through Paddle, purchasers may use the customer support and refund channels made available by Paddle under its applicable Buyer Terms and Refund Policy.
Paddle Customer Portal: https://paddle.net
Purchasers may also contact Calibration Training with general questions or requests for assistance through:
Contact: https://calibration.training/contact/
Email: contact@calibration.training
Calibration Training will make reasonable efforts to investigate enquiries and complaints relating to its training services and provide appropriate assistance in accordance with the applicable agreement and law.
Where a request concerns a matter handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record, Calibration Training may refer the purchaser to Paddle or assist in identifying the appropriate process.
A statutory withdrawal request made through a legally permitted method will not be rejected solely because the purchaser did not use a particular online portal or form.
Nothing in this Policy excludes or restricts mandatory statutory rights, refund entitlements or other remedies available under applicable law.
15. Changes to this Policy
Calibration Training may update this Cancellation & Refund Policy to reflect changes in its training services, contractual arrangements, payment processing procedures or applicable legal requirements.
The current version of this Policy will be made available on the calibration.training website, together with its effective date.
Changes to this Policy will not automatically apply retrospectively to existing purchases or remove contractual rights acquired under an earlier version.
Where a proposed change materially affects an existing contractual relationship, Calibration Training will comply with any applicable requirements concerning notification, consent and the rights or remedies of the affected purchaser or learner.
The version of this Policy applicable to a particular purchase will be determined by the contractual arrangements validly agreed at the time of that transaction, subject to any subsequent amendments validly agreed or permitted under applicable law.
Purchases processed through Paddle remain subject to the applicable Paddle Buyer Terms and Refund Policy, including any changes to those terms and their application to the relevant transaction.
Calibration Training may retain previous versions of this Policy for contractual, administrative and evidential purposes.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits mandatory statutory rights, consumer protections or remedies available under applicable law.
16. Governing Law
To the extent that this Cancellation & Refund Policy forms part of the contractual relationship between e-Consilio B.V. and the relevant contracting party, Dutch law applies.
Where a purchaser qualifies as a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive the consumer of mandatory legal protections applicable under the laws of their country of habitual residence, where such protections apply.
Purchases completed through Paddle remain subject to the governing law and jurisdiction provisions of the applicable Paddle Buyer Terms.
Any disputes arising under this Policy will be subject to the jurisdiction provisions of the Calibration Training Terms & Conditions, to the extent that those provisions validly apply to the relevant contractual relationship.
Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits mandatory statutory withdrawal rights, consumer protections, access to competent courts or other legal remedies available under applicable law.
